Position Overview:

The DG Project and Real Estate Paralegal will support legal counsel in matters related to the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of distributed solar projects, including real estate interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned legal tasks
- Draft documents such as confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and construction service contracts
- Conduct initial reviews of agreements from third parties and assist in their finalization
- Follow detailed instructions and proofread materials prior to distribution
- Aid counsel with Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, including preparing necessary exhibits and gathering relevant information
- Support requests for proposals (RFPs) and other procurement activities
- Prepare real estate documents, including options, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and easements
- Coordinate with landowners for the execution of real estate documents through calls and written communication
- Review deeds and corporate documents to verify title and resolve any issues
- Help satisfy title requirements and work with title companies to obtain necessary reports
- Review land surveys and site plans, coordinating with engineering for needed adjustments
- Assist in preparing proforma title policies
- Support contract compliance and document summaries
- Maintain company records and address routine document inquiries
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of experience in a corporate or finance law firm, or in-house legal services
- Real estate experience is highly preferred
- Travel: None required
