A major energy company primarily focused in elecricity and clean energy is looking to expand their team with a Regulatroy Counsel. This individual shouldhave experience with handling regualory matters either in front of EPA or FERC, with a strong preference for environemntal regulatory experience. This role offers the opportunity to join a well-rounded, collaborative group of attorneys.
The Regulatory Counsel will:
Provide legal counsel on regulatory compliance issues related to the energy and environmental sectors.
Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and interactions with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
Develop and implement compliance strategies to ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations, including those related to the EPA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and FERC.
Review and analyze proposed regulations and legislation to assess their impact on the company's operations.
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory bodies.
The Regulatory Counsel must have:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona or a willingness to waive in.
Minimum of 3 years of experience handling regulatory matters related to the EPA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, FERC, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
