A global cybersecurity leader is looking to expand its legal function and bring on a Privacy Counsel to join the team. This individual will handle a range of global privacy and data security matters for the business while working alongside a dynamic team of privacy attorneys. This role has the ability to sit fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the global privacy program and provide advice on privacy and data security matters
- Work cross functionally with product, security, and marketing teams in assisting on any potential data privacy and security issues
- Negotiate data protection related terms within agreements
- Stay abreast of relevant international data privacy laws to ensure company's compliance on relevant and evolving matters
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience focused in data protection or privacy either in-house or at a law firm
- Experience providing legal advice pertaining to privacy regulation, including GDPR
- Foundation in handling SaaS commercial contractions
- JD from an accredited law school and strong collaboration skills
