We are partnered with a leading firm seeking experienced attorneys with expertise in Claims Management & Coverage Counsel to join their team. This fully remote role involves providing expert guidance in claims, coverage analysis, and risk management for various specialty and professional lines of insurance. You will independently manage complex claims and coverage disputes, focusing on resolution and settlement strategies to mitigate legal exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage claims caseload from notification to resolution.
- Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages for complex cases.
- Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters.
- Monitor claims and develop resolution strategies.
- Coordinate and manage outside counsel.
- Prepare client reports with exposure analysis and reserve recommendations.
- Resolve claims through negotiations and mediation.
- Collaborate with attorneys and Partners on legal projects.
- Interface regularly with clients, carriers, and outside counsel.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited Law School.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of legal practice experience in insurance.
- Experience drafting coverage letters and opinions is a plus.
- Preferred experience in private practice.
