A reputable electric vehicle manufacturer is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Counsel to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology transactions and commercial contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Advise stakeholders on contracts concerning Sales of Goods, technology transfers and supply chain matters covering issues such as warranty, payment, indemnity, and IP sharing/ownership
- Partner with internal stakeholders across departments such as engineering, operations, and business development to support strategic initiatives and product launches.
- Assist on strategic transactions and due diligence on various projects.
- Provide general advice and counsel on all aspects of supply chain practices.
- Provide practical legal guidance to business teams, identifying legal risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one state bar.
- 5+ years of experience as a commercial counsel or in-house counsel, with a strong focus on technology transactions and commercial contracts.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, especially in technology, IP, and manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to distill complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
