Our client is a dynamic healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services to underserved communities. This position is remote with occasional travel, likely on a monthly basis, to the company's office in the Fresno area.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and representation on a variety of healthcare-related legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues and support organizational goals.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and administrative hearings.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare law or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
