Theyseeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel with a strong background in construction law and litigation to join the team. Reporting directly to the VP, General Counsel, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in drafting and negotiating construction agreements, service contracts, design agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, and more. This role will be based out of one of the office locations in Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC, or Lenexa.
The Corporate Counsel will:
Draft, review, and negotiate construction agreements, service contracts, design agreements, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other related documents.
Provide legal advice and support on construction law matters, including risk management, claims, disputes, and litigation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies to minimize risk and maximize opportunities.
The Corporate Counsel must have:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in at least one state.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction law and litigation.
Strong experience in drafting and negotiating construction agreements, service contracts, design agreements, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
