We are currently partnered with an Elite Wealth Management Firm that is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Counsel to join their legal team in Miami. This individual will have a strong background in HR/employment law and be open to supporting privacy-related matters, along with other generalist responsibilities such as vendor contracts and corporate governance. This is an excellent chance to be able to work with C-Suite executives working in an autonomous environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on HR and employment-related matters, including employee relations, compliance, and policy development.
- Assist with privacy-related issues, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of vendor contracts and agreements.
- Support corporate governance activities, including preparing board materials and maintaining corporate records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- JD for a top tier law school
- 4+ years of experience from private practice, in-house environment or mix of both
- Experience in employment law, with additional experience in privacy law preferred.
- Corporate Governance experience a plus
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
