My client is the investments subsidiary of a leading energy and constructions firm, and we are recruiting for a Corporate Lawyer to be based in the Singapore office. You will have the opportunity to support the business on overseas investment projects on renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to renewable energy projects
- Advise on engineering, procurement, and construction-related contracts.
- Provide legal support throughout the life cycle of large-scale projects: NDAs, bidding/tendering, contract negotiations, and execution phases.
- Offer sound advice on legal risks and mitigation solutions.
- Handle general corporate and commercial matters, ensuring contracts protect the company's interests.
- Manage disputes and contentious matters with external counsel and the management team.
- Support M&A transactions, investments, and other strategic corporate transactions
- Support joint ventures, venture investments, and other strategic corporate transactions.
Assist with M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and negotiation. - Ensure internal legal policies are understood and implemented; provide training to internal clients and colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
- LL.B or equivalent, qualified in Singapore or a common-law country.
- 5-8 years PQE with experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for renewable energy projects.
- Strong legal/contract analytical skills with a good eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
