Role Overview
As Deputy General Counsel - EPC, you will play a key role in advising on complex EPC contracts, project development risks, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with executive leadership and provide strategic legal guidance on project execution, risk management, and dispute resolution. This role requires deep expertise in construction and energy law, particularly in structuring and negotiating large-scale infrastructure agreements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on EPC contracts, project finance, and joint ventures.
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction, procurement, and engineering agreements, including PPAs, supply contracts, and regulatory filings.
- Oversee risk management, claims, and dispute resolution related to EPC projects.
- Support corporate governance and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage external counsel and oversee legal budgets for EPC-related matters.
- Advise on environmental, permitting, and regulatory risks associated with infrastructure projects.
- Monitor evolving legal and regulatory changes impacting construction and energy sectors.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
- 8+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on EPC contracts, construction law, and energy projects.
- Expertise in project development, project finance, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and claims management for major infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with developers, contractors, and financial institutions on large-scale projects.
- Ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional legal environments and advise on cross-border transactions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
