Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to lenders in drafting commercial loan documents and closing commercial loans.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex financial documents and contracts.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance issues.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in the banking and finance sector.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide integrated legal solutions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Texas state bar and in good standing or able to waive into immediately.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in banking and finance law, preferably in a law firm setting or reputable financial institution.
- Direct work with loan agreements, security documents, and closing commercial loans secured by personal property.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations, financial instruments, and corporate finance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
