An NYC-based Crypto Quant Trading Firm is seeking a General Counsel to advise on the day-to-day legal affairs of the company. The ideal General Counsel will have legal expertise within both the transactional and regulatory components of the digital assets space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead legal strategy and advise senior leadership on all matters, including regulatory requirements, risk management, employment matters, and data security and privacy issues.
- Negotiate and review critical business agreements relevant to the day-today operations of the company.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and stay informed of evolving relevant regulatory developments.
- Interface and manage third-party communications with outside counsel, various financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills:
- J.D., 10+ years of corporate transactional experience and expertise with digital assets.
- Knowledge and understanding of securities and derivatives regulations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with executive presence and work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands and projects simultaneously.
