Company Overview:
Our client is a prominent Crypto Proprietary trading firm based in Hong Kong, recognized for its innovative approach in the crypto market. They are currently seeking a Legal Counsel with experience in Crypto clients or a background in fintech firms. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team reporting to the General Counsel, contributing to legal and compliance functions in a fast-paced and intense industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and provide insights on legal documents relevant to the firm's business operations.
- Advise on, structure, negotiate, and manage investment projects and deals.
- Develop and maintain the firm's compliance framework, including conducting AML/KYC and CDD screenings.
- Prepare and communicate with regulatory authorities, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and legal developments impacting the firm's business lines.
- Collaborate across business units on legal and compliance matters, including training programs.
- Provide legal and compliance guidance to management, covering corporate, governance, and employment matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business, law, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the fintech or financial industry.
- Profound knowledge of financial laws, regulations, debt financing deals, and general corporate practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset suited for a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, solution-oriented approach, and resilience.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
