A rapidly growing company in the Insurance sector is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our in-house legal team. The successful candidate will support our attorneys in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal. This role requires a strong understanding of legal procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Litigation Paralegal - Key Responsibilites:
- Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files, documents, and evidence.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support litigation efforts.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
- Coordinate and manage the discovery process, including document production and review.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and coordinate meetings.
- Maintain and update case management databases and tracking systems.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
Litigation Paralegal Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably at an established law firm or in-house setting.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
