Our client is a steadily growing healthcare organization with a great team dedicated to providing affordable healthcare for underserved communities. The role will work closely with the General Counsel on a range of legal subjects. This role will operate on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days a week in the office in Merced, CA.
Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Reviews, edits, and finalizes contracts and agreements; manages the contract system.
- Legal Document Preparation: Drafts and files legal documents, including discovery requests, notices, and interrogatories.
- Litigation Support: Assists with witness coordination, prepares evidence memos, and supports deposition and trial preparations.
- Corporate Governance: Prepares and tracks business license applications, corporate filings, and compliance deadlines.
- Legal Research and Analysis: Conducts legal research, drafts memorandums, and summarizes depositions and court transcripts.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as a paralegal, or administrative/legal experience.
- Skills: Basic principles, concepts, and methodology of legal proceedings and legal research.
