We are partnered with an established, privately-owned PBM that provides services to ensure cost-effective and high-quality medication access for their clients. They are looking to hire a Senior Counsel to join their General Counsel in managing various legal & compliance matters for the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on pharmacy benefit management, including contract negotiation, business transactions, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents with clients, vendors, and third parties.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, including pharmacy benefit regulations, HIPAA, and ERISA.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and collaborate with internal departments on business strategies.
- Manage litigation matters, oversee external counsel, and conduct internal investigations as needed.
- Stay updated on industry-related legal developments and assist in developing company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- JD and active bar license
- 6+ YOE; 3+ years of direct PBM or pharmacy experience required
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations related to pharmacy benefit management, healthcare, and privacy
