A diversified Manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Trade Compliance Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of export control regulations, particularly the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Title 19 of the Code of Federal Regulations (19CFR). The Senior Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing trade compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive trade compliance policies and procedures in accordance with relevant regulations, including EAR and 19CFR.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including classification, licensing, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and advise management on potential impacts to the company's operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Supply Chain, and Operations, to ensure alignment on trade compliance initiatives.
- Manage import and export documentation processes, including license applications, customs declarations, and record-keeping requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and external auditors during trade compliance reviews and investigations.
- Provide training and education to employees on trade compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in trade compliance management, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of export control regulations, including EAR and 19CFR.
- Experience with import and export documentation processes, including classification, licensing, and record-keeping.
- Plant Management experience
- Professional certification in trade compliance and/or U.S. Customs Broker License preferred
