A top Insurance firm is looking to hire a talented Senior Attorney to independently manage cases of moderate to high exposure and complexity in civil litigation. This role will handle the full life-cycle of a trial, from inception until conclusion through dismissal, settlement, or trial. This candidate will additionally work closely with adjusters and clients to resolve claims efficiently and effectively, while also offering the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys. This is a remote role with travel to in-person court appearances across the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients and claims professionals to resolve cases
- Conduct pre-trials, mediations, depositions, arbitrations, etc
- Independently conduct trials as needed
- Advise claim professionals on the evaluation of legal files and negotiate settlements
- Provide legal advice to clients and other claims professionals as needed
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in California
- 5+ years of experience in civil litigation with a strong track record of successful case resolutions
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
