The Compliance Oversight Manager - Retail Cards provides advice, support, and guidance to assigned portfolios, businesses, or functions, ensuring compliance with the Bank's risk philosophy and strategic direction.
Responsibilities
- Independently manages compliance for the bank's retail credit card business
- Provides guidance and advice to the business on new and changing consumer lending and credit card regulations
- Serves on the 2nd LOD as compliance partner to the business lines regarding regulatory compliance around the bank
- Contributes to the development and implementation of Compliance programs.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for consumer lending and credit card compliance
- Manages regulatory reviews, inquiries, audits, and exams.
- Identifies and resolves complex project/program requirements issues.
- Supports Issue Management, Exam Management, Project Management, and Client Relationship Management
- Facilitates periodic Compliance risk and self-assessment activities.
- Monitors and communicates assessments in a timely manner.
- Manages the risk assessment process for assigned businesses.
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5-15 years of consumer lending and credit card compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of regulations including but not limited to SCRA, MLA, FCRA, Reg E, TCPA, Reg Z, UDAAP, etc.
- Prior experience with Issue Management and Marketing review
- Strong communication skills
This position can sit in Greenville, SC; New York, NY; Mount Laurel, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Portland, ME.
On-site Requirements is 2 days a week.
