The company is seeking a Compliance professional to ensure adherence to operational and technical requirements set by regulatory bodies like FERC, NERC, and PJM. The role focuses on maintaining compliance, investigating potential violations, and preparing for audits in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The individual will work closely with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) across various departments to improve compliance practices and ensure that the company is prepared for being audited.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and confirm compliance with FERC, NERC, and PJM requirements, including scheduled requests, self-certifications, and investigations.
- Collaborate with SMEs in operations, planning, and other departments to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities in procedures.
- Assist in investigating, documenting, and submitting potential violations to regulatory organizations for timely resolution.
- Coordinate and prepare for compliance audits, including mock audits, audit workbooks, and evidence organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Seven or more years of experience in a compliance or audit role, with knowledge of NERC Operations & Planning standards.
- Experience in a regulated entity, especially in the energy sector or other regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
- Strong communication, leadership, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
