Job Opportunity: Privacy Compliance Governance & Operations Manager (US)

The US Privacy Office is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing the US Privacy Compliance Program. We work closely with Risk Owners and Oversight Functions to ensure compliance with privacy-related laws, rules, and regulations. They lead privacy-related oversight efforts by supporting and maintaining Privacy Notices, Policies, Privacy Event Management, Regulatory Change Engagement, Monitoring, Training & Awareness, and Issue Management & Reporting.
As the Privacy Compliance Governance & Operations Manager (US), you will provide expert advice and guidance for data privacy initiatives while supporting privacy programs from a governance perspective. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and challenging Data Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
- Assisting with the remediation and reporting of privacy incident management
- Coordinating Privacy LMS training updates and tracking completion rates
- Overseeing the Privacy Designate Mandate, including list management and access control
- Collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams, including US Privacy, Global Privacy, Data & Analytics, and US business line Privacy Designates
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise Compliance programs, frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and awareness training
- Ensure monitoring and reporting mechanisms are in place and issues and events are escalated effectively
- Support the execution of specialized training and monitoring compliance efforts
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, or related fields
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Proficient knowledge of public cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure
- Understanding of data governance best practices, data lifecycle management, and metadata
- Knowledge of data analysis techniques and secondary data usage
- Familiarity with risk management standards and regulations
- Expertise in using MS Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with handling confidential information with discretion
- CIPP/US, CIPT, or equivalent certification is highly preferred
