Position Overview: As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, building relationships, and creating opportunities with potential institutional RIA clients. This is a dynamic role, combining business development skills with in-depth financial knowledge, ideal for someone with experience in financial services and a passion for fintech.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with institutional RIA clients via phone, email, and social media to generate qualified leads and schedule product demos.
- Qualify inbound leads and identify the needs of prospective clients to determine appropriate solutions.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the RIA space.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers to develop strategies for account penetration and growth.
- Track and manage all interactions in the CRM (Salesforce or similar) to ensure data accuracy and streamlined communication.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and competitors to effectively position the company's solutions.
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead generation targets.
- Assist with the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss strategies, share insights, and continuously improve the sales process.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Licenses: Series 7 required (must be active)
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of the financial industry, particularly institutional RIAs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior-level executives.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficient in using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and other sales productivity software.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
