Senior Risk & Compliance Manager - Consumer Mortgage
Our client, a rapidly growing regional bank in the Northeast, is looking to hire an experienced Risk & Compliance professional at a Senior Manager level to play a key role in the groups First Line of Defense owning the Risk & Compliance controls in their substantial mortgage arm. The firm are one of Northeast's fastest growing banks who will are to be imminently classed as a category 4 bank. Their mortgage business, among others, has been identified as a key growth area of the firm as such this role is the first of several new hires to be signed off in fast growing specialist group.
You will report directly into the Senior Managing Director - Head of Risk & Controls.
The Senior Risk & Compliance Manager will be responsible for…
- Providing specialist product and business Compliance Advice to key stakeholders and senior leaders in the Consumer Mortgage business in the Servicing division focusing on among others, Controls as well as Policy & Procedures across
- Leading RCSA's
- Working closely with Consumer Mortgage Servicing business leaders to help identify issues and remediate inefficient controls
- Monitoring Business Risks and Compliance Risks
- Provide specialist support for key projects as the business grows and to adjust to the growing categorization
The Senior Risk & Compliance Manager should have the following qualifications…
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant Risk and/or Compliance experience including experience of in Mortgages and ideally Consumer Mortgage Servicing
- Excellent working knowledge of the regulations governing the Consumer Mortgage space
- Experience in a Consumer Bank preferred
- Exceptional communication skills
