The Sr. Manager will oversee the Company's compliance program related to NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Reliability Standards. This role involves managing CIP compliance initiatives, guiding the CIP Compliance team, and serving as the primary compliance advisor for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The Sr. Manager will be responsible for coordinating audits, mitigating compliance issues, and ensuring the company remains "audit-ready" while implementing compliance strategies for new and existing CIP standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Company's CIP compliance program, including overseeing self-certifications, data submittals, investigations, and mitigation plans to ensure audit readiness.
- Coordinate and prepare for compliance audits, including organizing Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) and conducting mock audits with external assistance as needed.
- Monitor and implement new/revised NERC CIP Standards, working with business units to ensure timely compliance and coordinating updates to CIP policies.
- Investigate compliance violations, develop mitigation plans, and work with the Director, NERC Compliance, and business units to resolve any compliance issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least ten years of experience in a regulated environment, with a preference for the electricity sector, and at least three years of management experience.
- Advanced education (e.g., Master's degree, Juris Doctorate, PhD, or certifications) preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience directing and developing teams, and the ability to manage complex compliance programs.
